The ERUUF campus is a great location for a retreat, wedding, Bat/Bar Mitzvah, association or professional meeting
 ...at a price that won't break the budget...

(PLEASE NOTE: ERUUF is no longer able to rent space for private parties)

We have meeting and event space for private groups and non-profits. The Fellowship, located on Garrett Road in Durham, has rooms available for day or evening meetings, workshops, receptions and events. Our facilities are conveniently located on an attractive seven-acre wooded site between 15-501, Interstate 40 and University Drive. Rooms are bright and airy and are appropriate for groups of 10 to 15, or gatherings of up to 400 people. There are numerous handicapped accessible bathrooms and a full-size kitchen.

What to expect:
F
or Fellowship-related activities, rooms are assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis. If the Fellowship can not accommodate your activity/meeting, will you be notified. Otherwise your group will be assigned a room. If the specific room you are requesting is not available, your group will be be assigned a comparable room. Two weeks of room assignments are posted outside the main entrance to the CARE Building; and a six week calendar is posted in the Office/Library.

You will have specific responsibilities for leaving the room clean, garbage free and furniture arranged for the next room use. If you are not familiar with the Fellowship's Building Use Policy, please ask the office for a copy.

How to request a room(s) for Fellowship-related meetings and events
Use the Room Request Form available in the CARE Building office area, call or send an e-mail request to the office manager, 489-2575,
office@eruuf.org.

Provide the following information:

  1. Name of Fellowship-related group requesting the room/space
  2. Contact person and phone number; and e-mail address (optional)
  3. List your preferred room assignment and an alternate choice
  4. Purpose of Meeting (This helps determine appropriate room selection and alternative choices when your first choice is not available.)
  5. Full Date and Times (For example:: Saturday, July 10 between 10:30 am and 3 pm)
  6. Frequency of use (For example:: Every Tuesday from Sept 7 through November 9)
  7. Provide any special instructions or requests

Good choice for groups sizes of 10 to 15 people. Typically has one to two work tables and 20 chairs. Flexible seating. Two floors of windowed rooms. Handicap accessible.

26 x 46 feet

Full-size kitchen adjacent. Separate entrance. Flexible seating for up to 70 people seated in rows. Opens to a wide back deck facing the woods. A few long tables are available.

Seminars, Weddings, Musical events, Socials, Craft Shows, Bazaars

The Fellowship Hall

Open floor plan can seat up to 250 people auditorium style; or 100+ with a portable small stage area and people seated at tables 10 tables and 200 chairs are available.

Catering kitchen adjacent. Flexible chair and table arrangements makes this suitable for a party, dance or wedding reception. Sound room and piano options. Covered breezeway at entrance. High vaulted ceiling.

Worship and Memorial Services, Weddings, Town Meetings, Musical Events

The Sanctuary

Cushioned seating for 490; auditorium-sloped floors. High-quality sound system and piano options. Covered breezeway at entrance. High vaulted ceiling.

Food and beverages are not permitted in this space. Most events require the services of a sound-system technician from the Fellowship.

Meditation, Small Wedding

The Chapel

Room used only for worship-related services.
Small chapel off the main gallery, Private entrance. Suitable for small weddings or memorial service.

Food and beverages are not permitted in this space.


Room Use Requirements:

Furniture:  Tables and chairs in all rooms can be arranged as you wish. Renters are responsible for setting up the rooms and putting them them back the way they found them. This is one way we are able to keep the cost to you down.

Kitchen and Food: We allow private caterers to deliver and serve food at our facilities. Or you can bring meals or refreshments in for your group. Coffee and tea pots are available for your use by request. When your event ends, you (or your caterer) are responsible for clearing the rooms of all food, beverages and garbage. Janitorial supplies are provided. For rentals that include kitchen privileges, a portion of the shared refrigerator and freezer space is available.

Equipment: Easels, TV/VCR, pianos, and sound room equipment options are available on request.

Smoking: Allowed only outside buildings. Please, use ashtrays receptacles.

Alcoholic Beverages: Consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed provided your group complies with all state and federal laws and you have assigned a specific person responsible for beverage logistics and to monitor consumption. Your group will assume all responsibilities. Alcohol can not be sold unless you have a license from the State ABC Board (located in Raleigh).

Parking and Public Transportation: Ample parking is available on site - with more than 10 handicap assigned spaces. Durham Bus#10 stops in front of the property. For bus schedules, contact 382-DATA.
