2017 Minns Lecture Series

Wed, May 24, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Together with nearly 700 Unitarian Universalist congregations, ERUUF will offer Sunday services (service descriptions here) and programs in support of dismantling racism and the system of white supremacy that puts the lives of Black and Brown people in harm’s way, and in celebration of the love and courage People of Color have created in response and resistance.

Programs in May in support of dismantling racism, racial equity and inclusion at ERUUF:

Historical and Future Trajectories of Black Lives Matter and Unitarian Universalism

Wednesday, May 24, 7 pm, Commons Room
Video lecture by Rev. Rosemary Bray McNatt

Next program is Sunday, May 28, noon-1:30, Commons Room

Wilderness Journey, video and discussion
Join members of the Multicultural Team and Rev. Cayer to learn more about events within our movement from 1968-70 that caused People of Color, mainly African Americans, to leave the UUA for decades, if not permanently. We'll talk about what happened then, and what's happening in our religious movement now.

As they’ve done for the past five years, the Multicultural Team will continue to offer classes, films, workshops and discussion in support of ERUUF’s commitment to racial equity and inclusion. The next Dismantling Racism Workshop will be October 13-14; sign ups begin soon.
