Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Sign up and be there for about one service a month

  • (1st service only) Using the order of service and obtaining guidance from the musicians and the minister(s) set up the microphones, cables, stands, and clip on microphones and label the channels on tape

  • Pass out /collect FM devices to/from people needing a boost in sound volume.

  • Enable and monitor sound in worship hall, gallery, FM devices, and chapel speakers, sometimes monitor speakers for bands also.

  • Record sermon on tape

  • (2nd service only) Put microphones, cables, stands, FM devices away in locked sound room and locked sound desk.

  • (for every service) Record service onto hard drive, inserting track markers at key points in the service, then do a "digital dump" onto a cd-ROM disc with date and which service 1 (or 2) noted.

  • Deliver cd-ROM and tape for your service to the archive room

  • Keep in touch with the other committee members by e-mail

  • Volunteer to do sound for occasional special events, member memorial services, member weddings, special services, meetings, and special music events.
