Join ERUUF’s Immigration Justice Action Team to continue the conversation from last year’s Immigration Justice Weekend.

We will be in conversation with our partner Cristosal, a Central American human rights organization working in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. Now a year later, Carlos Salamanca, Director of Programs, and Tarrah Palm, Director of Resource Development, will share what has changed. Authoritarian practices have deepened across the region, and Cristosal’s head of anti-corruption, Ruth López, remains imprisoned. U.S. policy is part of the picture, from support for governments that criminalize dissent to the use of El Salvador’s prisons for people deported from the United States.

With the support of partners including ERUUF, Community Church of Chapel Hill, and Judea Reform Congregation, Cristosal has kept its work going through another difficult year. Carlos will share where that work is holding ground, what has shifted, and what solidarity across borders asks of us now.
