Eno River CUUPS sponsors another introduction to the late Layne Redmond's approach to frame drumming as a spiritual practice within a musical framework. We'll open with a rhythmic meditation, Call the Directions, learn frame drumming basics, and then play together in simple notated and improvised rhythms. And have fun making music together in a shared experience of healing, centering, and invoking.
9:30am-12:30pm: Introduction to Frame Drumming
12:30-1:30pm: Lunch (not provided; please bring your own)
1:30-4:30pm: Drumming Together, Being in Rhythm
Come to all or part of the day. No experience or special abilities needed. Registration required before 6pm on Friday July 26; see link below.
Loaner drums available by prior request with your registration.
