DESCRIPTION:You are warmly invited to join us in the annual celebration of
El Día De Los Muertos.\nThis holiday occurs every year during the 3-day sa
cred season of Samhain\, the Cross Quarter exactly halfway between Autumn
Equinox and Winter Solstice. We'll gather outdoors on Sunday 1-Nov at 6pm.
Please mark your calendars!\nSamhain is the time on the Great Wheel of th
e Year when the veil between the worlds is believed to be thin\, when the
door to the next world is open wide. All over Mother Earth\, people celebr
ate their ancestors at this time with ofrendas ('offering-altars'). We wil
l celebrate too\, honoring all those on the other side who we revere and c
herish. We'll welcome them into our circle\, letting them know they are re
membered and still loved.\nIf you wish\, please bring pictures\, mementos\
, and/or symbols of the dear ones you wish to honor\, including four-legge
d beloveds who have passed to the other side to place on our ofrenda. Plea
se plan to bring a dish to share\; gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian dishes
are particularly welcomed. Bring your own beverage.\nThis is a participat
ory gathering open to all those ages 16 and older\, and to children ages 1
5 and younger who are accompanied by a parent\, guardian\, or adult compan
ion.\nRSVP Here\nFor more information\, please contact the Eno River CUUPs
