Yiddish. Did you hear it in your family? If not, you probably do know some Yiddish words, many of which have seeped into the American English lexicon. Think about words like chutzpah, shmooze, schlep, nosh, tchatchke. At this meeting there will be a brief presentation about Yiddish, followed by a sharing of our knowledge and experience with this unique language. Come with a list of Yiddish words if you'd like to. Maybe we'll all learn something new!
