ERUUF Coronavirus Updates

May 19, 2022

Masks are required on campus for all indoor gatherings until further notice. Masks are encouraged but not required outdoors at this time.

The reasons are as follows: at ERUUF we are aware that the tiniest members of our community cannot yet be vaccinated, and people who are immunocompromised or have underlying health issues are very vulnerable.

With the end of mask mandates in most public places, covid variants are on the rise. Thankfully, with vaccines and boosters, the impact on most people who now get covid is unpleasant for a few days but not much more.

Even so, given the virus's ability to spread so rapidly, and in order to be inclusive and caring for people of all ages and health statuses, effective immediately, on the ERUUF campus masks are required at all indoor gatherings of any size, for all ages until further notice. Masks are encouraged but not required outdoors.

Worship Services at ERUUF are both online and in-person.

Masks are required for in-person attendance by congregants.

Worship leaders, including cantors, do not have to wear a mask while leading services. Choir members will continue to wear masks while singing in order to reduce the viral load in the air.

To Bless the Space Between Us

Noticing a  blessing helps us awaken to life's abundant gifts and possibilities, so in a way naming blessings is a way of practicing gratitude. My colleague Rob Eller Issac says that for Unitarian Universalists, blessing is an expression of our partnership with the holy. This Sunday, in Rev. Cayer's last sermon for ERUUF, we'll explore some of the ways we've been in partnership with each other, life, and the holy, and we'll name and give thanks for the abundant gifts discovered along the way. Rev. Deborah Cayer leads this morning's service with Rev. Patty Hanneman and a guest appearance by Rev. Jacqueline Brett. Kate Lewis and Rev. Stacy Grove will provide the music. Pam DiLavore is our cantor.

ERUUF Drummers Circle

Thu, Apr 28 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Categories: Music, Affinity Groups
Hits: 167

Whether it’s a cow bell, a Native American prayer drum, a Latin conga, or an African shekere, there’s room for your song at the Eno River Drum Circle. We’re an inclusive, fun, and rhythmic community that welcomes drummers of all styles and stripes  regardless of experience, age, or drumming tradition.

Drumming is a village experience. It's inter-generational and gender neutral. No skills are required, just a willingness to play and have fun. Our motto: it doesn’t matter how well you play, it matters how well you play with others. We focus on listening to the whole song and finding a place for your unique voice.  Bring your percussion instruments (there’s always plenty of extras to share), drum stories, and traditions to share with the group.

We play traditional rhythms from all over the world as well as spontaneous creations, giving ourselves a license to experiment and experience joy.  Contact Cliff Missen.
