UUJMNCBanner700x250State-wide meeting for the UU Justice Ministry of NC. The theme for the gathering is “Building a New Way” and the keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Gene Nichol. Professor Nichol teaches at UNC-Chapel Hill’s law school, where he served as Dean (1999 – 2005) and Director of the UNC Poverty Center (2008 – 2015). He has been and remains a well-known, well-respected, vocal, and outspoken advocate for justice, equality, democracy, and inclusivity in North Carolina. 

The gathering will also include workshops on “Going Public with Your Justice Values,” “What Partnership Means (Issues, Benefits, Risks),” and “How Small Congregations Can Do Justice in a Big Way,” as well as a catered lunch and worship and singing.

Those who are attending the gathering are also invited to stay for a Jazz Vespers service from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at ERUUF and a benefit concert by Emma’s Revolution at the Community Church of Chapel Hill UU at 7:30 pm (tickets $20 in advance or $25 at the door). 

Registration, attendance, and lunch for the Forward Together Annual Gathering are free (but donations will be gladly accepted).
