Avante, the Triangle's professional vocal octet, returns from its Southern tour with a home concert on March 10 at the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (ERUUF). The performance is at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2019, at 4907 Garrett Rd, Durham, NC,27707. Tickets at the door are $15; seniors $12; college students with ID $7.

Avante Vocal Jazz was founded in 2011 with the objective of fusing contemporary a cappella with the art form of vocal jazz. Based in Durham, the eight singers perform a unique repertoire ranging from contemporary choral works to cutting edge jazz with a modern flair. Routinely praised for its high standard of musicianship and unique arrangements, Avante tours the United States, appearing in concert, corporate venues and on college campuses.  Avante’s educational outreach provides workshops to students of all ages and boasts two nationally regarded clinicians within its membership. 

The singers are Kathleen Jasinskas, Lacey Knapp, Amy Pruitt, Kimberly Slentz-Kesler, Bradley Yoder, Kevin Badanes, Charlie Hyland and Bill Adams.
