Allison Mahaley is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. Her undergraduate studies were in middle school education and her Masters is in School Administration and Leadership. She is a veteran of public education having served at schools in Alamance, Durham and Chapel Hill-Carrboro as a teacher, technology facilitator, magnet coordinator, and school administrator.

She is also a member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Hillsborough where she and her husband have been members since 1999. She has served as the chair of the Religious Education Committee, the Membership Committee, and Ministerial Committee. She is currently the Team Lead for Faith in Action. The UUSC and UUA have provided her with a small grant to offer anti-racism training through the NC Love Resists Campaign. Her position as Developmental Youth Ministry Specialist is especially exciting to her because this work is at the intersection of her many experiences and passions - especially in growing UUism among young people.
