Justice Ministry Council Plenary Session
Creating Our Justice Ministry Story is the theme for each of two meetings – Wednesday evening, 7:00 pm, September 21 and Sunday, 1:00 pm, September 25. The agendas are identical; we encourage all ERUUFians to come to one session. The Plenary Session is a “Meeting of the Whole” – when the entire congregation is invited to express our hopes and justice priorities. It is also an opportunity for the Justice Ministry Council to discuss its new mission statement, its implication, and to report the ministry’s progress and plans for this year and beyond. We also seek your views about current and future justice opportunities and challenges coming our way. Co-chairs Amassa Fauntleroy and Tom Fletcher pose these abiding questions: How can we grow our capacity to do spiritually driven justice work? What are our fundamental justice priority and our guiding strategy? How can we become more inclusive by involving more ERUUFians in this Justice Ministry?
Justice matters. Everyone has a voice. Together, we will chart our course toward creating a world healed and transformed in which social, economic and environmental justice are universal.
“Slice of the Pie” Justice Ministry Pizza will be served. A goodwill donation is encouraged. Please sign up here and let us know which session you will attend. Contact Sam Wohns () or Doug Rhodes () with questions.
