The Race Card Project – What Are Your Six Words?
Journalist Michelle Norris created The Race Card Project, in which she issued this invitation: “How would you describe your experiences around race, culture or identity in just six words?”
She left postcards in public spaces and responses flooded her mailbox. She has now archived over 500,000 responses from postcard and online responses. Join us to watch a brief video about this project, discuss some of the six-word “essays” others have submitted, and create our own to share (or not). The Multicultural Team presented this project at the recent Beyond Racism workshop, and this is a chance to delve deeper.
