Saturday, February 10 will be a 90 minute public workshop for all people – anyone who is or has been a patient, caregiver, community service or healthcare provider navigating cancer and life threatening illnesses. Stress relieving, creative programming will guide participants to play with and honor their experiences in an environment of witness, ease, and mutual care. RSVP Here.

Saturday, February 24 will be a 4 hour creative retreat, delving more deeply into our experiences with artistic practices including InterPlay, image/forum theater, and other performance for social change approaches. During the half day retreat, participants are invited to be part of constructing a short, ensemble performance for March 2, guided by Marie in easeful formats for all bodies, mobilities, energy and pain levels. Taking part in the Our Bodies, Our Stories performance ensemble does not require any prior experience, and participants are encouraged but not required to perform in this gentle, inviting setting. RSVP Here.

Saturday, March 2 will be a ~40-60 minute ensemble performance that weaves story, poetry, movement, stillness, voice, breath, music, and connection. This original community piece will honor what our bodies know and what our stories can do, among people navigating life-threatening illness and cancers. It is followed by a reflective dialogue and fellowship between participants and the audience gathered.  (Performers will be participants from the February 24 session, who will rehearse again onsite on March 2 before performing).
