Position Purpose
The Office Assistant – Tech & Data Emphasis supports the administrative, worship, and media operations of ERUUF through detailed recordkeeping, volunteer coordination, and campus support. This position helps manage data-driven tasks such as room usage reporting and media file organization, while also providing hands-on assistance with Sunday worship and external rentals. It is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, comfort with tech tools, and a heart for service.
Essential Responsibilities
Worship & Tech Team Support
• Serve on Tech Team for Sunday worship (media and broadcast roles)
• Assist with Tech/Media Team duties, including A/V setup or simple editing tasks, camera scripts, slides, sound, props, visuals, chancel setup
• Provide A/V tech support for ministerial classes, rentals, memorials, and special events
Data & Organization
• Help update, organize, and maintain ERUUF’s digital photo/media database
• Track and report room usage data for internal and external groups
• Maintain and manage compostables and linens inventory (used by teams and renters), and help organize name badge
Volunteer & Rental Coordination
• Assist in connecting volunteers with appropriate staff partners and ministries
• Provide follow-up communications and thank-you messages to rental clients
Office & Administrative Support
• Greet and assist visitors with warmth and professionalism
• Assist with Sunday office coverage and setup needs
• Answer phones, respond to email, and provide general admin support (copies, music packets, surveys, merge letters)
Qualifications
• Strong organizational and digital file management skills
• Familiarity with Google Drive, spreadsheets, and calendar tools
• Comfort working with volunteers, renters, and staff in a collaborative setting
• Willingness to learn basic media/tech support (or experience in AV/media a plus)
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow through reliably on tasks
Preferred Skills
• Experience with image libraries or file organization (e.g., Google Photos, Dropbox)
• Familiarity with community-oriented or nonprofit work
• Understanding of UU values and willingness to work in a progressive spiritual community

Physical Requirements
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs, move tables/chairs, and walk between buildings
• Comfortable with light physical activity during event setups
• Able to sit for moderate periods and use computer, phone, and office equipment
• Able to setup tables and chairs for events.
