UU Justice NC's Friday Action Hour - May 8th at 11:00. “Building a Movement Against Islamophobia and All Oppressions.” This Friday, Manzoor Cheema from Muslims for Social Justice will offer a workshop connecting Islamophobia to other oppressions, including economic injustice, racism, attacks on immigrants and refugees, and war. He will provide practical examples of how people can take actions against these oppressions in their neighborhoods, workplace, education institutions, and other places. People of faith have a special responsibility to challenge religious extremism, which is a significant source of hatred against Muslims and many other communities.
