Then we will take action, calling on our state legislators to pausing state income tax cuts so that we can fund public education, child care and so much more. We'll also be joined by our friends at You Can Vote. They will roll out their spring schedule of electoral trainings and actions, because every year is an election year. Hello. My name is ______ , I live in______, and I am a person of faith. I’m calling to urge Sen. Tillis to fight to protect Medicaid funding in the federal budget. Medicaid is a lifeline - providing affordable health coverage to 1 in 4 North Carolinians including children, people in nursing homes and those living with a disability and chronic illness. Any cuts would be catastrophic to millions of people in our state, and would also destabilize hospitals and health care systems that we all rely on, especially in rural communities. We are counting on Sen. Tillis to fight for the people of our state and to vote no on any cuts to Medicaid.
