UU Justice NC's Friday Action Hour - Friday, September 12th at 11:00am. This week, we begin a two-part series examining how non-cooperation tactics can be used to combat authoritarianism. In part one, Kaleb Graves will explore the foundational societal pillars—such as the military, media, business, education, and religious institutions—that often enable the rise and persistence of authoritarian regimes. By understanding how these pillars uphold oppressive power structures, movements can strategically target them through nonviolent resistance and civil disobedience. This framework, rooted in the work of political theorists like Gene Sharp, empowers communities to dismantle authoritarianism from the ground up.
