????️RENews:

This past Sunday, children and youth gathered to continue learning about the January theme of the month: practicing resistance.

The PreK/K class did a deep breathing exercise, introduced themselves to the class and read the book Anh’s Anger by Gail Silver. Then, they made blow art by blowing on dots of water color. Afterwards, they enjoyed playing together on the playground!

The 1st-5th grade class had a great time retelling the story “The Three Little Pigs” with an emphasis on resistance! One group made the props and set, while the other group came up with a new form of the story, where the pigs resisted against the wolf. Then, they came together to perform the skit!

6th - 8th grade RE learned about resisting the unhealthy parts of social media. They watched a video about social media’s impact on self-esteem, and played a (surprisingly elaborate) game of filtered telephone.

High School Youth Group had pizza, checked in, and spent some time in fellowship with each other. Good luck on finals, everyone!
