RENews:
This past Sunday, children and youth gathered to start a new theme of the month, embracing possibilities. This week, children and youth learned about embracing possibilities of building a better world!
The PreK/K group started the class by playing a fun icebreaker game! Then, they introduced themselves and talked about their favorite snack (peaches, candy, ice cream, and fondue were all discussed!). Afterwards, they read the book Say Something by Peter Reynolds and made speaking tubes as a craft!
The 1st - 5th graders started the class by working together to build various different structures, then they learned about the theme of the month. They also learned a new song called “building a new way”. Then, they broke into age groups to introduce themselves, and work together on a lego creation!
The 6th-8th grade RE group had a great time working together to build a utopia, and they played various games centered around cooperation and making the world a better place.
High School Youth Group had a small group this week, but they enjoyed bagels for lunch and time chatting with advisors.
