UU Justice NC's Friday Action Hour - Friday, July 24th at 11:00am - The State of Healthcare in NC. This week we'll be joined by Rebecca Cerese, Director of the NC Justice Center's Health Advocacy Team. She will share a big win for children and pregnant women in NC and call on us to keep fighting for additional technical fixes to the Medicaid funding bill HB 696. We will also share some important updates on James Richardson. And we'll announce the grand total of our Farm Worker Hydration Fundraiser!

Resisting Christian Nationalism in North Carolina - The Dogwood Faith Project is UU Justice NC’s multiyear program to resist the rise of Christian Nationalism in North Carolina. As part of UU the Vote, UU Justice NC is offering multiple opportunities to participate in our 3-part training sessions on Zoom. The series will teach you how to resist Christian Nationalism through canvassing, phonebanking, and everyday conversation.

Friday, July 24, at 4:30 PM at Halifax Mall in Raleigh - Bearing Witness: Standing with Farm Workers - a community vigil hosted by our partners, El Futuro Es Nuestro and The National Farm Worker Ministry. Together we will honor the lives of farm workers who have died from heat stress and stand in solidarity with workers who are advocating for stronger heat protections.
