The Pulse Survey, an annual feedback tool, is being conducted by the Committee for Evaluation of Ministry (CEM) at the request of the Board of Trustees.
You may wonder why the Pulse Survey is conducted annually. First, ERUUF is a dynamic community experiencing both growth and emerging opportunities. Second, the Pulse Survey is an important tool to look at not just 2025 data but to analyze year-to-year trends.
Dinners in Homes is a twice-yearly program in which ERUUF members open their homes to build community with a potluck meal. Members and friends can sign up below to be guests.
We have several dates to choose from between April 3 and May 3, 2026.
Hosts typically provide a main dish, and the guests bring salad, bread, vegetables, appetizers, desserts, drinks, and so forth. Hosts contact their guests closer to the time with a reminder about the event and what guests are bringing.
Now is the time to sign up to be a guest – some meals tend to fill up fast, so don’t delay!
Crossing the threshold of a new year often brings about changes in our lives and in the world around us. I want you to know about some changes occurring in the Music Ministry here at ERUUF:
Pianist
This past summer, we learned that our quarter-time pianist, Kate Lewis, would be undergoing carpal tunnel surgery on one of her hands. Now that she has undergone surgery, Kate has learned that the expected recovery period for her hand is 13 months. In addition, she has let us know that, for personal reasons, she cannot guarantee she will be able to return to work with us as needed.

Greetings Dear Members and Friends of ERUUF,
As we near the end of 2025, I suspect that, like me, you are both distressed and heartbroken by where we are as a nation. And especially by all that continues to occur in North Carolina and the cities and towns that make up our Triangle region.
I have been proud of the rapid and determined response by many at ERUUF to stand in solidarity with local immigrants facing ongoing threats from Border Patrol and ICE.
A new phase has been reached in the COVID-19 virus.
As a spiritual community, we at ERUUF strive to create a culture of respect and care for one another. Our Covid-19 policies have been guided by serious concern and consideration for the safety and well-being of all ERUUF members, staff, and visitors, with a commitment to equity and care for the most vulnerable among us and those who are marginalized both at ERUUF and in the larger community.

Often when we hear the work “resistance” we think of the most politically charged and publicly visible examples of activism. But sometimes the most critical protest begins at home, with a resistance to our usual patterns that get in the way of all that is good in our world.
