Dear ERUUF Community,
Co-creating and leading the Beloved Community Chorus for almost five years has been a deep joy during my time in Durham. Over the past few months since we have moved to online worship, I, like many others, have had to adjust to virtual work. For me, that is for my healing justice work, my work at ERUUF, and supporting our child's learning. I had made a decision to pause my role as director of the Beloved Community Chorus and revisit the role when it is safe to return to worship in person.
ERUUF's Mask Brigade, led by member Audrey Green, recently expressed gratitude for recent donations, including a single gift of $500 from the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Ministerial fund. In her own words, Rev Deb Cayer stated,
"The project you've created is saving lives at a crucial time in the pandemic, and we think this qualifies as an intended use of the fund. We especially appreciate your partnership with agencies that support Black, Indigenous, and People of Color whose communities are particularly hard hit by the pandemic, and also because this is in alignment with ERUUF's strategic initiative for racial equity and inclusion...We're just amazed at what you've created, Audrey, and are really happy to be able to support your team's loving, positive efforts."

A new phase has been reached in the COVID-19 virus.
As a spiritual community, we at ERUUF strive to create a culture of respect and care for one another. Our Covid-19 policies have been guided by serious concern and consideration for the safety and well-being of all ERUUF members, staff, and visitors, with a commitment to equity and care for the most vulnerable among us and those who are marginalized both at ERUUF and in the larger community.
