UU Justice NC's Friday Action Hour, February 14th at 11:00am. Loving Our Children through School Board Advocacy. In North Carolina and across the country, school boards make important decisions that are vital to the wellbeing of our children. Unfortunately, many school boards are advancing a White Christian Nationalist agenda by banning books, attacking trans youth, removing DEI from curricula, and passing harmful disciplinary policies. This week we'll be joined by Peter Rawitch, co-founder of Love Our Children, an education advocacy organization based in Wilmington, NC. Peter will equip us with the tools and knowledge to love our children through local school board advocacy. Review this week's resources and actions on our Google Doc, and Join via this Zoom Link.

30 Days of Love - Week 4: There are Black people in the future. In this final week of 30 Days of Love, we honor Black History Month with the bold proclamation of a sacred and revolutionary truth: there are Black people in the future. These words from interdisciplinary artist and cultural producer Alisha B Wormsley are a declaration of resilience, commitment to solidarity, and insistence that victory is ours! It is a refusal to accept the erasure of Black existence, imagination, and liberation. It is a call to action for Unitarian Universalists and all people of faith and conscience to engage in the sacred work of co-creating a future where Black lives thrive. What will you put into practice today to fulfill this promise? Click Here to view this week's offerings, including videos, practices, actions, and more.
