Drive Folks to the Polls During Early Voting

ERUUF’s UU the Vote is collaborating with the statewide Disability Rights North Carolina (DRNC) to drive their constituents to the polls in Granville and Person counties, where there is a huge need, during Early Voting (October 17-November 2).

All you need is a clean car with working seatbelts, a mobile phone with GPS, enthusiasm, and a commitment to get people where they need to go, so they can exercise their right to vote. You can choose which county to go to, a morning or afternoon shift, your preferred day(s) of the week, and whether you do it by yourself or pair up with a buddy.

UU The Vote’s organizing team (Lonna Harkrader, Nancy Couts, Sandy Hochel, and Trisha Lester) is trying to get a sense of how many folks are interested in helping so that we can give Disability Rights an estimate of number of volunteers to expect in October. Early Voting is only 17 days. Let’s show DRNC how ERUUF shows up when we collaborate, and let’s get those voters to the polls!

Please complete this form as soon as possible if you’re interested in getting involved. More specific information will be forthcoming in mid-September.

Questions? Contact Trisha Lester.
